You must be a resident citizen of a qualifying country and be self-funding, although support from friends and relatives is acceptable. The 100% award is for resident citizens of Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia, Pakistan and a list of low income Sub-Saharan African countries. The 75% award, limited to four per course, is for citizens of World Bank low and lower middle income countries. A small number of 50% awards go to UK residents and residents of other countries. For the 100% and 75% awards, you must not have previously studied, worked or lived in a World Bank high or upper-middle-income country. The official application page has the full country lists.
You need a firm place on the MSc Critical Care with the University deposit paid, and current Year 2 and Year 3 students can apply. The application is three written answers of up to 250 words each. Four assessors score each answer anonymously, priority goes to applicants in their first 10 years after qualifying, and the College decides ties.
